Job summary

A leading construction company in London, Ontario is looking for an Accounts Payable and Payroll Administrator to manage invoices and employee inquiries. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with the Synerion Time & Attendance system. Job description

This position is a 52 Week maternity leave contract role, reporting to the Director, London Region

Primary Scope of Role
  • Create, process and file accounts payable invoices using JD Edwards financial system.
  • Code timesheets for work orders and job numbers.
  • Enter timesheet information into Synerion (Time & Attendance-Workforce Management System) including employee hours, travel hours and meal allowance among others.
  • Assist with information for various employment changes, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes and layoffs, initially on paper and eventually, within the new HRIS
  • Provide fuel cards and fuel cards receipts.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all employee inquiries.
  • Perform other accounting and standard payroll duties as required.
Position Requirements
  • 2 - 3 years of experience processing accounts payable/ payroll.
  • Diploma or Degree in a related field will be considered an asset.
  • Payroll and Time & Attendance experience with over 100 employees (hourly union/non-union) will be considered an asset.
  • Prior experience in an administrative role in the construction or transportation environments.
  • Experience with Synerion Time & Attendance system.
  • Union experience – working with collective agreements as it relates to payroll.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented individual who is proficient in Excel.
  • Works well individually and within a team.
  • Effective time-management and organizational skills
