At Dilawri Group of Companies - BC Region, we are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll for 150-300 employees on weekly and semi-monthly periods
  • Enter new hires, employee changes, and voluntary deductions into the payroll system
  • Process extra runs and final pays, including terminations and discrepancies
  • Process ROEs for all terminations or leaves
  • Prepare and process hourly, sales, and salaried payrolls
  • Handle garnishments and payroll adjustments
  • Calculate bonuses and ensure correct withholding and deductions
  • Ensure compliance with Labour laws pertaining to payroll processing
  • Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related duties as needed
  • Manage Company Group Benefits registration for new employees
  • Journalize and post payroll-related entries
  • Prepare on-demand payroll cheques
  • Reconcile monthly payroll accounts under the direction of the Regional Payroll Manager
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and problem-solving abilities to meet payroll deadlines
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the Payroll team
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by the Regional Payroll and Benefits Manager
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of payroll experience
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation
  • Knowledge of BC Labour Laws
  • Experience with payroll systems (PayWorks is an asset)
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to multitask
