Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for a 6-month contract role located in Kingston, ON. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23-$27, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing biweekly payroll for 5,000-6,000 employees, ensuring compliance with collective agreements and regulatory requirements.

Location : Kingston, ON

Shifts : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 00pm

New and quicker onboarding process Responsibilities :

Process biweekly payroll for 5,000-6,000 employees using Kronos and SAP.

Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations, deductions, and disbursements.

Work collaboratively within a unionized environment and be familiar with collective agreements.

Analyze and understand payroll reports and run queries as required.

Prepare reports for CRA and Service Canada, including handling pay garnishments.

Manage account reconciliations and cost allocations.

Act as a critical thinker and problem solver to address payroll issues. Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field.

Previous experience with Kronos and SAP is an asset.

Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.

Experience in a unionized environment preferred.

Ability to analyze reports and maintain attention to detail.

Proven problem-solving skills and critical thinking capabilities.
