Payroll and Integrated Systems Specialist

Overview

Reporting to the Vice President, Talent and Culture, the Payroll and Integrated Systems Specialist plays a key role in managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with legal and tax regulations, and contributing to digital transformation initiatives in an international context.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll data processing and validation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international labor and tax laws.
  • Handle tax and administrative aspects of international mobility.
  • Participate in post-acquisition system and process integrations.
  • Propose and implement improvements to payroll systems and processes.
  • Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Mentor payroll team members and stay updated on legislative changes.
  • Oversee payroll month-end and year-end processes, including audits.
  • Prepare employment records and tax documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of payroll management experience, ideally including international and post-acquisition projects.
  • Fluency in French and English, written and spoken; intermediate English proficiency required.
  • Expertise in payroll systems, ERP, and HRIS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation; U.S. regulations knowledge is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional projects and process automation.
  • Detail-oriented with high confidentiality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Assets

  • Payroll administration certification.
  • Knowledge of HR automation tools and systems.
