Payroll Coordinator - Hybrid, Permanent

Our legal client is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a permanent hybrid role, 2-3 days on-site in downtown Toronto.

This position supports payroll operations across multiple Canadian and U.S. offices and is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage full-cycle biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Handle employee changes such as hires, terminations, promotions, and leaves.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile related general ledger accounts.
  • Remit statutory withholdings, benefit contributions, and garnishments.
  • Issue ROEs and prepare year-end tax slips (T4s, W2s).
  • Generate reports using UKG Pro and BI tools.
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure payroll compliance.
  • Participate in audits and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support the team during peak periods and absences.

What You Bring :

  • PCP designation or currently working toward it.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-jurisdictional setting.
  • Experience with UKG Pro is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Bilingualism (English / French) is an asset.
