Position: Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:

Top 40 Woodworks Ltd. seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage all aspects of payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator will ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, compliance with all relevant regulations, and effective management of employee benefits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·Managing and maintaining accurate employee data across multiple currencies, utilizing both manual and computerized systems. This includes meticulous record-keeping of attendance, leaves, and overtime to ensure proper pay and benefit calculations.

·Ensuring timely reporting of overtime for salary employees, while updating overtime information bi-weekly.

·Preparing and meticulously verifying employee earnings statements, clearly outlining gross and net salaries alongside all applicable deductions.

·Overseeing the complete payroll process, from regular payments to benefits administrations, bonuses, and vacation payouts.

·Managing and updating employee benefits information with Manulife, ensuring accurate enrollment, changes and terminations.

·Ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required forms and documentation related to employee benefits, such as pension plans, leave requests, share savings programs, and insurance coverage.

·Preparing and submitting all payroll-related filings, including year-end tax documents, pension reports, and Records of Employment.

·Serving as a knowledgeable resource for employees, providing clear and concise information on payroll inquiries, benefit plan details, and collective agreement stipulations.

·Developing and presenting comprehensive statistical reports and summaries pertaining to compensation and benefits.

·Reconciling payroll disbursements with the bank statements and generating accurate period-end reports.

·Proactively identifying and resolving any payroll-related discrepancies to maintain data integrity.

·Collaborating with Human Resources in the refinement and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Position Details:

·Position: Payroll Administrator

·Type: Full-Time, Permanent

·Location: 3-1744 Kelly Douglas Road, Kamloops BC V2C 5S4

·Start Date: As soon as possible

·Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. 40hours per week

·Salary: $73,000 annually

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field such as Business Administration with a focus on accounting; or completion of a college program or equivalent coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll administration; or commensurate experience

·Proficiency in payroll software and systems, particularly Sage 50 Accounting, Sage HR, MS Office

·Familiarity with Innergy for time tracking or any time tracking software equivalent for millwork companies

·Benefits administration experience is required, Manulife preferred.

·Experience in serving on a health and safety committee doing note taking and records keeping as well as handling administrative tasks such as ordering keys, making signs, etc.

·Continued employment in contingent upon maintain satisfactory performance levels and reviews to meet company and role expectations
