In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing while keeping employee benefits and RRSP programs running smoothly. You’ll partner closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors — making a real impact from day one. What you will be doing:

  • Run bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls across multiple Canadian provinces (Alberta, BC, Ontario).
  • Support a growing team of 1,051 employees, focusing on:
  • New hires, terminations, payroll timesheets
  • Hourly payroll processing (majority of the employee base)
  • Benefits enrollment and administration
  • RRSP matching contributions and remittances
  • Maintain strict compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to streamline and improve processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll or benefit-related issues quickly and professionally.
  • Drive year-end activities, including T4 preparation and audit support.
  • Champion best practices in data integrity, confidentiality, and employee service.

What you must have:

  • 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience, ideally in a mid-to-large-sized organization.
  • Expertise with Canadian payroll regulations and multi-province processing.
  • Confidence managing hourly and salaried payrolls.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong Excel skills — you know your way around formulas, pivot tables, and reports.
  • Superb attention to detail, organizational skills, and client-service orientation.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
  • Passion for collaboration and building strong working relationships across departments.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (or equivalent).
  • Experience with UKG systems.
  • Exposure to integration or testing environments (D365 to ADP is a plus!).
  • A creative, solution-driven approach to process improvements.

Salary/Rate Range: $75,000 – $82,000 (DOE) + Full Benefits Package
