Under the direction of the Manager of Support Services in Human Resources, the Pay Equity / Job Evaluation Officer plays a critical role in ensuring equitable, transparent, and legally compliant compensation practices across all employee groups in the school board. This position is responsible for developing/authorizing job descriptions in consultation with departmental leaders, maintaining pay equity plans, conducting job evaluations, and advising stakeholders on compensation decisions. The incumbent ensures that job classification systems reflect the complexity, scope, and responsibilities of roles in a fair and consistent manner, supporting the recruitment, retention, and motivation of qualified personnel.
ALL new employees will be required to submit a current original criminal background check (CBC) including a "Vulnerable Sector Screening" (VSS) issued within 6 months prior to commencing employment with the Board.
