Job description

The Patron Services Associate maintains positive customer relationships by utilizing exemplary customer service skills, as well as knowledge of Box Office/Front of House (FOH) and company policies and procedures to ensure optimal customer experience. The Patron Services Associate is on the “front line” interacting with and assisting our patrons and volunteers during shows and rentals. As part of this team, the Patron Services Associate will represent the quality and grandeur of Persephone Theatre.

*All Front of House staff members must get SIRS training- Serve It Right Saskatchewan. The online course is provided by Persephone Theatre and is completed at your own pace.*

Our Patron Services Associates are members of our Box Office and FOH team. Duties will include:

  • Providing the highest level of customer service and attention
  • Ensuring all ticket requests and subscriptions are handled promptly for all Persephone Theatre and Third Party productions
  • Addressing patron accessibility, questions and needs
  • Preparing daily reports and accurate reconciliation of box office receipts, sales, and cash
  • Preparing tickets for distribution leading up to show times
  • Serving customers at the bar/concession pre-show and intermission; this is very fast-paced
  • Answering customer questions with accuracy and confidence
  • Preparing concession/bar pre-orders with efficiency and accuracy
  • Providing tours and guidance to interested patrons
  • Checking and restocking consumables and cups; must be able to bend and lift up to 20 lbs
  • Checking and restocking bathroom supplies; sanitizing tables and bathroom taps

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to build and maintain positive relationships with Persephone Theatre staff, patrons and volunteers
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgement, integrity and ethical behavior in all daily activities
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Skilled in data entry and operating computer systems
  • Highly motivated self-starter and hard worker with a high energy level
  • Willingness to work hands on in assisting customers and staff
  • Bondable and trustworthy with cash

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Must be 19 years or older in order to work with FOH
