The Transcona Museum is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for full-time employment at the Health Sciences Centre. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of the facility, managing incidents, and providing support to medical staff and visitors. Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Patrols buildings and property of the Health Sciences Centre to create a safe and secure environment for patients staff and the visiting public. Ensures that laws rules and regulations of the Health Sciences Centre are enforced in a prudent and reasonable fashion as they apply to Security Fire Safety and both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detects and deals with unlawful acts. Assists medical / nursing staff when requested and directs and assists visitors throughout the facility. Ensures that an accurate record of activities of duty is maintained and that all incident reports are properly documented to ensure proper investigative action is taken.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
