Job description

Precise ParkLink manages thousands of parking lots on behalf of hundreds of property owners. They supply cutting-edge technology and management services to thousands of organizations in the healthcare, municipal, commercial, institutional, and private sectors.

Job Summary:

Precise ParkLink is seeking Patrol Officers to ensure that all dashboard tickets, reservations and parking permits are valid at contracted private properties throughout the City of Hamilton and Niagara and St. Catharines. This position will be overseen by the Area Manager.

Location: Hamilton/Niagara/St. Catharines, ON

Employment: Full-time/Part-time

Hours: Wednesday to Friday - 4 PM - 12 AM (shift times can vary)
Saturday & Sunday - 11 AM – 7 PM
Special Events – As Needed

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Mandatory Qualifications:

  1. General knowledge of computers/cellular devices
  2. Valid G license with clean drivers abstract, and ability to provide abstract at time of hire
  3. Previous experience in parking enforcement or security background would be considered a strong asset
  4. Criminal check required prior to hire (backcheck completed by Precise Parklink)

Mandatory Attributes:

  1. Must be punctual and self-disciplined; considered a self-starter
  2. Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision as this is an independent, on the road job; must also strive to work in team settings towards a common purpose
  3. Ability to de-escalate situations should they arise; must be well-mannered & level-headed
  4. Capable of learning & absorbing training in a quick & efficient manner
  5. Must be polite with a professional attitude
  6. Positive, friendly, enthusiastic and personable
  7. Bilingualism is a strong asset
  8. Mechanically inclined able to change a tire and possess basic automotive skills

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

  1. Review and understand daily scheduled routes prior to dispatching for shift
  2. Review dispatch email for any client requests/ check calendar for any events
  3. Respond directly to client requests for enforcement in a swift and timely manner, communicate with client to confirm receipt and debrief once call has been attended to
  4. Inspect vehicle & required devices prior to departing for shift; report any issues to manager immediately
  5. Follow procedures regarding log sheets/ recording site visits
  6. Carefully check expiration date/ time of parking receipts displayed on dashboards, as well as approved hangtags where applicable
  7. Run plates through enforcement software at applicable sites to confirm registration
  8. Ensure accuracy in issuing infractions (correct information on ticket)
  9. Ensure devices are returned as they were taken, and placed back on charging units for next shifts
  10. Arranging towing of vehicles where applicable, under By-Law regulations
  11. Ability to work outdoors, within a sheltered garage environment
  12. Mandatory health & safety training required to be completed upon hire
  13. Litter pick up and general maintenance of parking equipment
