What You'll Be Doing

The role involves transporting inpatients and outpatients to the Radiology Department.

• Ensure the safe transport of patients and equipment to and from care areas via stretcher, wheelchair, or ambulatory process.
• Transport patients daily to various departments, informing nursing staff of the transport and return, with 100% accuracy in observing safety standards.
• Ensure railings are in upright position.
• Maintain intravenous needles in place.
• Monitor supply flow or oxygen as established by the attending nurse.
• Secure patients during transport.
• Communicate clearly and tactfully with patients.
• Receive assignments from electronic systems, such as hospital-issued phones, and report completed tasks. Also, coordinate with technical/clinical personnel involved in patient care as needed.
• Assist patients in moving to wheelchairs or stretchers and transport them to the designated examination rooms, with assistance if needed.
• Travel to different care areas to obtain stretchers or wheelchairs if unavailable.
• Return unused stretchers and wheelchairs to centralized storage.
• Deliver excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction scores for the department and hospital.

What We're Looking For

Availability every other weekend, all holidays, and varied shifts.

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
