As a patient support assistant, you will work in partnership with the RN and RPN to provide patient care and will become an integral member of the interprofessional team. The focus is on quality and patient/family-centred care with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.

The successful applicant will be available to work 12-hour shifts, including days (0730 - 1930), nights (1930 - 0730), weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Schedules may change due to operational needs.
Salary Grid: CU01A $ - $ per hour
The responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, nutrition, positioning, and ambulation.
Responsible for non-patient care duties including stocking treatment areas and carts, maintaining linen supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of patient rooms, utility rooms, nursing stations, and patient care equipment. You will utilize strong communication skills and be actively involved in quality management initiatives.
Completion of a recognized personal support worker certificate or healthcare aide program from a community college or equivalent. Current BCLS certification is an asset. Previous experience, preferably in oncology or palliative care, is preferred. Proficient computer skills, knowledge of universal precautions, and medical terminology are assets.
Demonstrated good attendance and performance, commitment to a healthy and safe workplace, compliance with policies and legislation, and completion of mandatory education.
Strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
