Job summary

FYidoctors Fort Frances - Scott Street clinic is seeking a Part-Time Patient Services Specialist to deliver exceptional service and support to our patients in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

The role is 20–29 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will greet patients, manage check-in/out, assist with pre-testing, scheduling, billing, eyewear adjustments, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is an asset and helps with patient interactions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while handling front-desk duties.
• Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite, for scheduling and billing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/check-out patients; respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care.
• Coordinate appointments, print prescriptions, and manage billing and payments.
• Assist with eyewear pick-ups and minor repairs/adjustments.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as needed.

Our FYidoctors Fort Frances - Scott Street clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as a Patient Services Specialist to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional service and support, enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic, and rewarding environment that values teamwork and collaboration.

This position is a part-time role working 20-29 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check-in and check-out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

What You Bring

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
