Job summary

FYidoctors Bedford - Nine Mile Drive clinic is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to provide outstanding service and support to patients as part of a collaborative team.

You will greet and assist patients, perform pre-testing, coordinate appointments, manage billing, and assist with eyewear pickups and minor repairs while ensuring a positive patient experience. This full-time role requires local travel within 20 km and offers room for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service role or retail is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out in person, by phone, and email.

Job description

Our FYidoctors Bedford - Nine Mile Drive clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as a Patient Services Specialist to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional service and support, enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic, and rewarding environment that values teamwork and collaboration.

This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday. The role requires travel within a 20 km radius of the designated location

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check-in and check-out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

What You Bring

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
