Patient Service Representative II, Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Position Overview

Serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility. Greets and checks-in patients, verifies information, schedules appointments, updates Electronic Health Records (EHR), and facilitates intake procedures such as completing healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments. Builds confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and healthcare providers through effective communication and competent performance. Adheres to all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also perform specific tasks or orient new staff to the department.

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
Skills and Knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and patient billing
  • Ability to interpret data and instructions in various formats
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills using established solutions
  • Knowledge of patient privacy regulations (HIPAA)
Work Environment
  • Shift: Days
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Weekend as needed
Benefits and Compensation

Benefits available. Pay range: $23.87 to $29.83/hour, depending on experience and location. This role is non-union, non-exempt, and considered entry level.
