Position: Patient Safety Observer

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule Details: Holidays - Every Other Holiday, Weekends - Every Other Weekend

Scheduled Hours: 7:00PM-7:00AM

Shift: 3 - Night Shift, 12 Hours (United States of America)

Hours: 36

Cost Center: 25080 - 0152 MS & ED Patient Observers

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous safety observation of assigned patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living, such as ambulating, feeding, and repositioning, as directed by nursing staff.
  • Engage with patients appropriately using casual talk, sensory boxes, cards, coloring books, and games.
  • Document all care provided and communicate effectively with the designated staff member.
  • Report any issues or concerns immediately to the licensed clinical charge person.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR Certification within 6 months of hire.
