Job summary

Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Food Service Assistant in the Nutrition Services department. You will contribute to safe, nutritious patient meals and high-quality service for our patients.

Responsibilities include patient meal prep, meal tray delivery, dishwashing procedures, and sanitary handling of food and equipment. Must have Grade 12 or equivalent and Food Handlers certification; shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Current Food Handlers Training & Certification required and must be maintained.
• Ability to operate cash register and handle money accurately.
• Strong communication with staff and the public.
• Safe and sanitary handling of food and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work on patient meal prep (Bpod).
• Perform patient meal tray delivery.
• Assist with dishwashing procedures and maintain sanitary standards.
• Operate cash register and process transactions as needed.
• Maintain safe handling of food, supplies and equipment.
