A leading security firm is seeking a Casual Security Guard in Halifax to ensure safety in a healthcare setting. Qualifications

  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Security License for the province of Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular rounds to ensure safety and security of the site.
  • Operate security cameras and alarm systems.
  • Monitor and control entry points to the facility.
  • Act quickly in emergency situations.
  • Greet and assist visitors and residents.
  • De-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
  • Document daily activities and incidents accurately.
  • Work closely with hospital staff and law enforcement.
  • Enforce facility policies.

Skills

Fluency in English (oral and written)
Experience in security or law enforcement
Ability to obtain Security License

Minimum High School Education
