Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C. is seeking a motivated and organized Casual Patient Care Coordinator | OR Booking to support and lead our team.
This position works rotating days, Monday to Friday – 07:30 to 15:00 rotating.

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), within a patient and family-centered care model.
The PCC is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day operations and quality patient care within a designated clinical area(s). This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources. The PCC supervises as well as serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making, clinical assessments of patients, and in the counseling and education of families. Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures, and standards of patient care, adequate staffing levels, and a continuous quality improvement environment. Liaises with the interdisciplinary team for identification, coordination, and efficient utilization of resources, as well as planning for staff educational needs.
