Summary Of Duties

The PAA is responsible for coordinating patient flow and activities, providing administrative services for the patient care unit, and maintaining patient records. The role also involves staffing, scheduling (up to 80% of the time), payroll, and administrative support to the patient care unit.

Qualifications/Skills
  1. One year of Community College - Medical Terminology course preferred.
  2. One year of administrative/business experience required; experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  3. Demonstrated person-centered care/customer service behavior.
  4. Knowledge of software packages such as Word and Windows.
  5. Typing speed of 40 net words per minute or keyboarding at 106 net keystrokes per minute.
  6. Ability to organize work effectively and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
