Parts Technician

The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for an experienced Parts Technician (journeyperson) with large earthworks equipment experience. Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.

We require an experienced Parts Person to join our team at our shop in Acheson, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities :

• Locate parts and other materials, and ship them to project sites.
• Assist Heavy Equipment Technicians as required.
• Place orders for specialized parts.
• Make inventory and bin adjustment recommendations.
• Document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information accurately and thoroughly.
• Operate parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems.
• Perform general shipping and receiving duties as required.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience as a heavy equipment parts technician required.
• Experience with heavy equipment parts required.
• JDE experience is an asset.
• Journeyperson Parts ticket is an asset.
• Ability to accurately order parts and prioritize needs for remote sites.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and coordinate with various vendors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with heavy equipment parts, specifically CAT, JD, and Komatsu.
• Experience with SIS and other heavy equipment vendor parts software is an asset.
