Qualifications

Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group, is currently looking for an effective and independent Parts Specialist / Counterperson to fill a vacant position within their team in Mississauga.

WHAT IS EXPECTED:

The Parts Specialist/Counterperson plays a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division by performing functions related to the sale and handling of replacement parts and accessories. They assist internal and external customers with parts requirements, process orders, and ship/receive parts to maintain company standards of customer satisfaction.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to customer and service technician inquiries for replacement parts, accessories, or technical support
  • Participate in the improvement and maintenance of the parts department
  • Look up parts internally & externally, assign parts to work orders, issue parts to service technicians
  • Safeguard organizational and personal information confidentiality
  • Respect company policies, rules, and values
  • Contribute to company objectives through efficient resource use
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration, and communication
  • Implement departmental improvements based on business directions
  • Promote standardization and uniformity in management processes
  • Develop personal professional skills
  • Act as a representative of Prevost

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • High school diploma
  • At least two years’ experience in bus or truck parts
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP)
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg unassisted, and perform physical tasks like climbing, bending, and reaching
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours if needed
