Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group, is currently looking for an effective and independent Parts Specialist to fill a vacant position within their team in Calgary.

WHAT IS EXPECTED:

As a Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for helping to increase the productivity of service technicians by handling the Kanban and local supply chain. The Parts Specialist plays a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division, performing functions related to the sale and handling of replacement parts and accessories. You will assist customers with parts requirements, process order paperwork, and ship parts to maintain customer satisfaction. You will also work on implementing strategic pricing strategies and programs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resolve customer parts orders and issues
  • Write clear and precise messages in sales orders
  • Forecast parts requirements
  • Research, identify, and order parts

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Heavy-duty parts experience, including reading parts drawings and assisting technicians with bus parts
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and access to Prevost databases for parts identification
  • Ability to interact with customers both in-shop and at the front counter
  • Teamwork skills across aftermarket sectors
  • Organizational skills, adherence to Kanban principles, and computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with bus and heavy-duty parts management is an asset
  • Clean Class 5 driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 20 kg and walk distances
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods, neatness, and organization
  • Tolerance to extreme local temperatures
