Job summary

Brandt in Ottawa, ON is seeking a Parts Person for our Peterbilt dealership. The role involves helping customers find parts, providing pricing info, and processing online orders, while supporting warehouse operations.

You will work with the Parts Manager to ensure accurate inventory, ship parts to customers and branches, and assist service technicians as needed. Strong people skills and reliability are essential.

Description

We are currently seeking a Parts Person to join our Peterbilt dealership in Ottawa, ON. The Parts Person is responsible for aiding customers in finding necessary parts, offering pricing information, and processing online parts orders.

The position entails executing parts inventory duties that bolster our Parts Business by supporting warehouse operations. This role reports to the Parts Manager, working collaboratively to deliver optimal outcomes for customers.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Problem solving

What We Look For
  • Solid foundation of parts/warehousing knowledge and skills
  • Previous experience in the parts industry preferred
  • Journeyperson Certification is considered an asset
  • Experience working within the Heavy Duty Truck, fabrication and/or manufacturing industry considered an asset but not required
  • Effective Customer Service skills and able to build lasting partnerships with customers both over the phone and in person
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate peak seasons; including working shift, weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills required.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment safely.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, customers and the general public.
  • Effective problem-solving skills
