Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Field Heavy Equipment Technician for our Cranbrook Construction and Forestry location. You will repair and maintain construction and forestry equipment and attachments, working closely with a skilled team to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, receive, and store incoming parts and materials.
  • Locate parts and materials, and ship to customers and branches.
  • Provide assistance to branch service technicians as required.
  • Place inventory stock orders.
  • Make inventory and bin adjustments.
  • Document and report shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information.
  • Use parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems.
  • Other duties as required.

Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Field Heavy Equipment Technician for our Cranbrook Construction and Forestry location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Problem solving Unloading, receiving, and storing incoming parts and other materials in the warehouse and yard
  • Locate parts and other materials, and ship to customers and other branches Provide assistance to branch service technicians as required
  • Place inventory stock orders
  • Make inventory and bin adjustments
  • Accurately and completely document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information
  • Use parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems
  • Other duties as required
What We Look For
  • Capable of meeting physical demands of parts/warehousing trade
  • Effective customer service skills and ability to build lasting partnerships with customers both over the phone and in person
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in operating a personal computer and utilizing software such as Excel to input and manage data effectively
  • Previous experience in the parts industry preferred
  • Solid foundation of parts/warehousing knowledge and skills
  • Journeyperson Certification is considered an asset
