Job description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Parts Manager to lead and oversee the Parts division of Olympic Sales International Sales. Reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer, this role will be pivotal in driving the division’s growth, profitability, and seamless day-to-day operations. The Parts Manager will be responsible for optimizing parts sales, managing inventory forecasts, and implementing strategies that align with and support the company’s overarching business objectives. A key focus will be on ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while leading, inspiring, and developing a high-performance team. This role demands a dynamic leader capable of fostering a results-driven environment and continuously driving the division toward operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this role. The tasks and time spent performing each task may vary as business needs require. Olympic International maintains the right to modify job duties and responsibilities at its discretion. The range of specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Strategic Leadership & Team Management:

  • Develop annual business plans and strategic goals to drive revenue growth and profitability within the Parts division, while collaborating with senior leadership to align strategies with company objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of Parts business operations, including sales, inventory management, vendor relations, and customer service.
  • Recruit, lead, manage, and develop the Parts department team to achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by being an exceptional listener and assisting team members in problem-solving.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to exceed HVAC Parts sales targets, while monitoring performance to identify growth and profitability opportunities.

Warehouse, Inventory & Vendor Management:

  • Oversee warehousing, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure timely procurement, accurate forecasting, and efficient storage of high-demand HVAC parts, while optimizing space, maintaining safety standards, and maximizing profitability.

Financial Oversight & Reporting:

  • Monitor the Parts department’s financial health, manage the budget, control expenses, maintain inventory levels, and suggest corrective actions to ensure profitability and meet financial targets.

Customer Service & Product Knowledge:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns aimed at increasing parts sales.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop promotions and pricing strategies, while building strong relationships with key customers and HVAC contractors to drive loyalty and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure exceptional service, timely deliveries, and accurate product information for all customers, improving overall customer experience.
Skills and Competencies:

Required

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and profitability in a competitive market.
  • Knowledge of HVAC parts, tools, equipment, and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central an asset.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and sales targets.
  • Ability to lift and move HVAC parts and work in a warehouse setting when necessary.
Educational Requirements:

Education, Licenses and/or Certification, Experience Required

  • 7+ years of experience in parts management, business operations, or sales within the HVAC or related industry.
  • Degree, diploma or equivalent education / experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; HVAC certifications or technical knowledge is highly desired.
