Parts Manager

Southland International Trucks Ltd., is looking to hire an experienced parts manager. This position will report to the dealer principal and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the parts department, as well as liaising with suppliers and OEM to manage purchasing and sales promotions for the dealership.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to the following):

1. Hires, trains, schedules, counsels, motivates, and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
2. Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with requirements of all facets of the business.
3. Sets pricing levels to remain competitive in the market whilst maintaining profitability of the business.
4. Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
5. Supervises stock order procedures.
6. Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
7. Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers.
8. Responsible for maintaining operations of eCommerce website, including finding and adding new products, restocking, pricing, and marketing.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Journeyman Parts Technician certification (strongly preferred)
2. Prior managerial experience
3. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
4. Parts Sales Experience
5. Motivational Team leader
6. Customer focused
7. Experience with heavy truck/trailer service parts (preferred)
8. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
9. Strong organizational and time management skills
10. Detail-oriented, professional appearance, and strong work ethic
11. Willing to learn new sales techniques with a desire to be coached
12. CDK (ADP) experience a plus
