Job summary

Pinnacle Equipment Co is seeking a Parts Delivery Driver to safely pick up and deliver parts across the Lower Mainland and beyond. You will load, secure, and unload parts, perform basic vehicle checks, and verify paperwork with customers and branches.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, route planning, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions on local routes. Local travel primarily, with occasional regional trips.

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license.
Clean driver’s abstract meeting company insurance requirements.
Ability to lift and transport parts up to 50 lbs.
Experience in delivery, courier, warehouse or customer service is an asset.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and small items between branches, customers and suppliers.
Load, organize, and secure items in the delivery van to prevent damage.
Perform basic pre-trip vehicle checks and report maintenance issues.

Summary

The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely pickup and delivery of parts, supplies, and small items between Pinnacle Equipment locations, customers, and suppliers using a company-provided cargo/transit van. This role requires strong customer service, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle and verify parts throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and small items between Pinnacle Equipment branches, customers, and suppliers using a company-provided cargo/transit van.
Load, organize, and secure parts and packages in the delivery van to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.
Complete basic pre-trip vehicle checks and promptly report maintenance, damage, or safety concerns.
Operate the company vehicle safely and in accordance with the BC Motor Vehicle Act, company policies, and applicable road regulations.
Verify parts and delivery paperwork before leaving the branch and obtain required signatures or proof of delivery.
Maintain accurate pickup and delivery records and return completed documentation to the appropriate department.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while meeting scheduled pickup and delivery requirements.
Assist the Parts Department with receiving, stocking, picking orders, warehouse organization, and other duties when not completing deliveries.
Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and professional condition and notify the Parts Manager of required service or repairs.
Communicate professionally with Parts staff, customers, suppliers, and other branches to coordinate pickups, deliveries, delays, or changes.
Safely load and unload parts and packages by hand or with approved material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license.
Clean driver’s abstract meeting company insurance requirements.
Previous delivery, courier, warehouse, parts, or customer service experience is an asset.
Ability to safely operate a cargo/transit van in urban, highway, industrial, and rural driving conditions.
Ability to safely lift, carry, load, unload, and secure parts and packages up to 50lbs.
Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and loading/unloading, and to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Experience

Previous parts delivery, courier, automotive, agricultural, construction, or dealership experience.
Experience working in a parts department, warehouse, or distribution environment.
Forklift or pallet jack experience.
Familiarity with the Lower Mainland road network and local delivery routes.
Basic knowledge of agricultural and construction equipment parts is an asset.

Work Environment

Primarily local and Lower Mainland delivery routes, with occasional longer regional trips as required.
Agricultural and construction equipment dealership environment.
Deliveries may include customer businesses, farms, construction sites, industrial yards, suppliers, and other branch locations.
Early starts, overtime, and seasonal peak workloads may occur.
Regular driving, frequent stops, and repeated loading/unloading throughout the day.
