Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in truck parts sales preferred.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Parts Counterperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians in obtaining required parts and supplies while achieving monthly sales targets through encouraging additional parts sales.

PAY RATE

Wage for this position is $41.47 for full parts journey person status.

Your Responsibilities

1. Promote sale of parts and accessories to all customers: walk-in, telephone or internal technicians
2. Provide exceptional customer service to maximum customer satisfaction
3. Keep abreast of all new products and updates through continuous learning
4. Locate all parts as requested by customers and/or technicians
5. Prepare parts invoices and credit notes for all counter sales and issues parts for all work orders
6. Participate in regular inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining stock
7. Accurately document all shipping and receiving of parts
8. Maintain files and update parts related information on a regular basis

What We Look For

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2. Post-secondary diploma or trade certification preferred
3. 4+ years related experience in truck parts sales (may have lesser years experience – Goring 1+ years experience required)
4. Prior parts counter sales experience or parts/warehousing knowledge preferred
5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
6. Great interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work with others
7. Ability to self-manage time and set priorities while handling multiple responsibilities
8. Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
9. Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
10. Must have valid Driver’s License
11. Forklift Certification or ability to attain certification
