Job Overview
The Parts Apprentice is a vital position within the organization, dedicated to optimizing inventory management and supply chain operations. This role demands a combination of technical knowledge, logistical acumen, and strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with various departments and suppliers. The Parts Apprentice ensures the timely procurement and distribution of parts, supports inventory accuracy, fosters relationships with vendors, and significantly contributes to the seamless operation and reliability of organizational processes.
• Equipment, industrial plant, and vehicle parts ordering
• Shipping and receiving parts
• Responsible for the timely Pick-up and delivery of parts
• Data entry, invoice entry into fleet management system
• Support in maintaining an organized and efficient inventory system
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Competencies:
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
• Solid organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to perform physical work, including lifting heavy items.
• Proficient with basic computer programs for administrative tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Parts and/or previous industry experience an asset.
