At Tesla, our Parts Advisors play an important role in service operations, offering support to Technicians and customers as part of our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

As a Parts Advisor, you will provide critical parts support to the service center, liaise with other departments, and focus on developing your skills. We’ve created some of the most innovative vehicles ever made, and you will help ensure an equally innovative service experience for our customers.

What You'll Do
  • Source parts from Distribution Centers and other Service Center locations and allocate them to vehicle service appointments
  • Monitor inventory within the parts system, communicate parts updates and availability with relevant team members
  • Review upcoming appointments and ensure they are properly prepared and documented in our system
  • Prepare internal orders for shipment to other service center locations
  • Process and return warranty part shipments for quality assurance, including handling hazardous materials and high-voltage batteries
  • Receive, inspect, and store stock and special-order parts systematically
  • Escalate parts issues from internal or external suppliers in collaboration with the Regional Parts Manager, acting as a point of contact to vendors and providing constructive feedback for improvements
  • Transport parts using a van or forklift, engaging third parties when necessary
What You'll Bring
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and achieve shared goals
  • Effective multitasking, organization, and deadline management skills
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and MS Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain appropriate state licensing if required
  • Physical ability to perform repetitious duties, including lifting up to 25 lbs., sitting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Specific vision abilities to identify parts, operate systems, and recognize safety hazards in the parts department
