Job Responsibilities:
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients to uncover new opportunities
- Understand client needs and how we can offer a solution
- Research potential leads by using Panjiva, Manta, and web searches
- Qualify leads by following up with prospect accounts and identifying decision makers
- Maintain a book of business
- Follow up with existing clients via telephone and email
- Present all the divisions to potential clients to uncover new opportunities
- Answer potential client questions and follow-up call questions
- Working collectively with the sales team to close the sale
- Keep track of biweekly revenue performance – Are you trending up or down?
- Create a strong pipeline that includes all divisions
- Use CRM to enter new customer data, update changes, log calls and opportunities, and create pricing agreements.
- Maintain a weekly calendar
- Follow up with house accounts to uncover new opportunities or re-secure lost business
- Help maintain a presence in open territories by calling on top customers and understand who is trending up or down and why.
- Pass on qualified leads to appropriate team members
- Work with counterparts from other divisions to pass on qualified leads.
- Work hand in hand with all departments to support customer needs, and resolve issues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and CRM.
