Expected hiring salary range: $49,511 – $58,244

Reporting to the Director Partnerships and Engagement, you will be responsible for achieving client recruitment and enrollment goals for UWW/EXP’ programs and services. The Partner Development and Outreach Specialist will build and maintain trusting meaningful relationships with community partners to generate program applicants who are committed to taking steps toward a meaningful career via UWW/EXP’ programs. You will be accountable for meeting partner development and program delivery targets and growing our program opportunities to align with our strategic plan. You are comfortable connecting with people from various backgrounds that align with the strategic UWW/EXP’s community outreach plan. You will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and developing relationships with stakeholders within the community to cultivate participant applicant pipelines, relevant referrals and opportunities.

You are based in Ottawa but will also be responsible for outreach activities in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area and in Quebec, as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Partnership Development

  1. Develop and maintain new and existing partnerships with community agencies, career development organizations, transitional living centres, shelters, drop-in centres, immigrant and health programs and centres and any other community service organizations whose clients can benefit from the services of UWW/EXP.
  2. Seek out new relationships by creating appointments and opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, social media tools, and other prospecting techniques.
  3. Execute creative follow-up efforts that result in maintaining and establishing trusting meaningful relationships.
  4. Develop, organize, and lead a partnership development plan that will create and maintain partnerships with community organizations that will mutually support the needs of the communities we serve.
  5. Deliver informative and engaging presentations to community partners, and prospective clients virtually and/or in person and build ongoing relationships with community partner agencies and their staff.
  6. Network and represent to improve the presence and reputation of UWW/EXP.
  7. Assist the UWW/EXP teams in spreading brand awareness through organizing and participating in lead generation activity including program events, job fairs, community education efforts, and marketing campaigns, and others as required.
  8. Plan, organize and help secure guest speakers for presentations.
  9. Deliver key program activities, including client outreach and recruitment.
  10. Monitor implementation of program processes and policies for the purposes of high-quality service delivery and continuous quality improvement.
  11. Maintain partner records in Salesforce, including creation of new partners and all required information, and entry of all communications, including presentations, phone calls, emails, etc.
  12. Facilitate positive relations within the program team, with other departments within UWW/EXP, and with stakeholders at large.
  13. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of UWW/EXP’s suite of services and value proposition to engage new and existing participants to UWW/EXP coaching program.

Other duties assigned as required.

Outcomes Evaluation. You will assist the leadership team in collecting data and analyzing qualitative and quantitative outcomes: Conduct regular data reviews, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data entered regarding key metrics (applications, enrollment, referrals, and other outcomes).

WHAT YOU OFFER

Required

  1. 4+ years of successful and proven track record in relationships building, partnership development, or community reach-out experience.
  2. Results-driven and demonstrated ability to meet performance targets by deadlines and critical time periods.
  3. Experience with the prospecting process and the sales/partner development cycle.
  4. Strong expertise in client and community service with an orientation toward innovation and collaboration.
  5. Communication skills: You have exceptional oral and written skills. You are comfortable in face-to-face and virtual meetings, communicating by telephone, in-person, or email to answer inquiries and coordinate details. You can foster and nurture internal and external relationships with participants, colleagues, funders, community and employer partners, and other stakeholders.
  6. Highly motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, strategic, logical, and methodical thinker.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Innovative, adaptable, and self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own workload and time.
  9. Demonstrable ability to exhibit a high level of sensitivity, relatability, and emotional intelligence. You understand the socio-economic and mental health barriers faced by persons of all backgrounds. You have an understanding of the relevant experiences of diverse community members, including new Canadians, people with disabilities, LGBTQ, low-income, and racialized groups.
  10. Must be able to inspire loyalty and trust with internal and external contacts.
  11. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM) and Planner (or other project management software) and the ability to easily learn new tools which enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Perfectly Bilingual, French and English (both written and spoken).

Preferred

  1. Lived experience of poverty and intersecting barriers is an asset.
  2. Previous experience, exposure, or understanding of social services, employment counselling, or a related discipline is an asset.
