Job summary

Qualifications

• Called to the Ontario Bar, in good standing.
• Substantial experience in corporate/commercial law, typically 8-10+ years.
• Demonstrated ability to originate and manage client relationships.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage corporate/M&A transactions from origination through closing
• Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and governance matters
• Develop and maintain client relationships, including business development
• Mentor and supervise associates working on corporate files
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the corporate practice group
