Job description

Position Overview

Our partner role focuses on leading and growing the Private Company Assurance practice across the Greater Toronto Area, expanding market presence, strengthening practice performance, and delivering integrated client solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the Private Company Assurance practice, influencing strategy and market presence.
  • Advising privately held and owner‑managed businesses on financial reporting, risk, tax planning, and emerging issues while maintaining strong technical standards and independence.
  • Deepen client relationships, expand your network, and create new business opportunities by delivering advice that helps entrepreneurs navigate complexity, growth, and change.
  • Collaborate with Southern Ontario and broader firm teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team in a culture of accountability, development, collaboration, and sustained growth.
Key Requirements
  • Education: University degree (preferably business) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, plus a public accounting license. Candidates in the process of obtaining their license may also be considered.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of assurance experience in a Canadian professional services firm, leading and conducting complex accounting and audits.
    • Proven success growing a business practice through relationship development, market insight, and proactive anticipation of client and market needs.
    • Proven ability to lead complex client engagements at local and national levels.
    • Strong people‑leader with experience developing advisory teams, coaching talent, and collaborating closely with clients and colleagues, maintaining high standards of quality and continuous professional development.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust with clients and colleagues at all levels and influence decision‑makers.
    • Desire to learn and grow, and to be part of a team that prioritises collective success and agility.

Additional Expectations: The firm requires team members to work together in the office five days per week.
