Imperial Tobacco Canada — a member of the BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO GROUP — offers an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner in Montreal.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner – Marketing & Commercial, the Junior HR Business Partner will support junior and middle managers to enhance the sales team's success through recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employee relations, training, and more. The role involves collaborating with senior leaders on people-related issues and implementing strategic HR initiatives to meet organizational goals. Responsibilities include managing internship programs, improving onboarding, facilitating training, and supporting various talent projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support, talent management, and employee relations support to sales teams by building strong relationships and balancing people and business priorities.
  • Lead HR processes for sales teams (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, employee moves, performance management) using SuccessFactors. Administer policies and practices related to talent development, recruitment, learning, performance, rewards, and mobility.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Expertise to support talent management, organizational development, employee relations, leadership development, and rewards.
  • Partner with business leaders to foster cultural transformation, improve organizational effectiveness, and support high-performance culture.
  • Act as an advisor, coach, and consultant to leaders to enhance leadership capabilities, team effectiveness, and business performance. Manage employment issues such as grievances and investigations.
  • Contribute to the development of HR strategies and objectives to create a cohesive, business-focused HR team.
Qualifications
  • Degree in HR or related field (CHRA an asset)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a generalist in a matrixed HR environment, with a proven track record of aligning HR initiatives with organizational strategy.
  • Energetic, results-oriented, with strong organizational and prioritization skills in dynamic settings.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver relevant solutions.
  • Credibility to build trust with senior leaders and implement strategic HR measures.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French, verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced PowerPoint skills (PowerBI an asset).
Desirable Skills
  • Membership in the HR professional Order (CHRP, CIRC)
  • Knowledge of Canadian labour laws
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and SAP
