Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking a part-time Package Handler in Kelowna for overnight hours (3am-8am) to move trailers, load/unload and sort packages in the yard, ensuring safe and efficient handling. The role may involve manually handling packages and operating at unloading doors and ramp areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license and a good driving record; prior package handling or CDL switching experience is preferred, and bilingual ability in French

Qualifications

• High school diploma/educational equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• Six (6) months of experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.
• In the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English)

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from unload/load doors and throughout the yard.
• Physically load, unload and/or sort packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing.
• Load and unload packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, and conveyor systems.
• Lift and move packages in continuous and repetitive motions for shifts of two to four hours.
