DHL Express has openings for Part-Time Warehouse Associate positions at our Halifax, NS location. You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages to serve our customers’ needs. Join us and help us achieve our mission of having the best day every day.

Available Shift: 06:00 am to 11:00 am

Wage: $20.02/hr (for the first 3 months), with increases as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
• Scan freight as per agreed procedures
• Perform OB Cargo Screening and Inspections
• Move freight within the warehouse area as required
• Accurately process inbound and outbound material by deadlines
• Assist the Tracing Department with warehouse checks for missorts, on-hands, etc.
• Perform HIC duties and inventory management
• Maintain accurate reporting
• Perform Front Counter duties
• Participate in organizing and cleaning the warehouse area
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and cooperative work environment

Other warehouse duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor.

• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs throughout the shift
• Ability to work effectively with customers
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Be prepared to deliver parcels as a backup driver
• Meet security requirements

• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as per Transport Canada guidelines
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• High School Diploma
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
