Job Skills / Requirements
- Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and executing all training and development programs while devising overall training strategy in regards to business objectives.
- Delivers company-wide training courses using various training mediums, including employee handbooks, PowerPoint presentations, classroom sessions, and e-learning modules.
- Monitors, evaluates, and records training activities and program effectiveness.
- Identifies training and development needs through needs analysis, appraisal schemes, and regular consultation with business managers and the human resources department.
- Maintains a current library of training materials and programs, conducting annual reviews of all training content for effectiveness and accuracy.
- Establishes and sustains effective relationships with branch employees.
- Ensures Senior Management is kept informed of operational progress, providing written reports to the Human Resources Manager as required.
- Ensures students are appropriately informed about the Code of Ethics, company policies and procedures, and OH&S procedures.
- Completes student assessment reports accurately, observing all record management requirements.
- Ability to travel throughout Southern Alberta as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Must possess a High School Diploma; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Instructor must be a certified trainer in the following programs: Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), and First Aid.
- Working knowledge of Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act is an asset.
- Experience in Training and Development; experience in Security Training is an asset.
- National Coaching certificate level 1 or 2 is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery.
- Excellent written and oral skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with all management levels.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong time management, multitasking, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Outgoing, sociable, adaptable, and detail-oriented.

Certification Requirements (All)
- NCI Instructor
- First Aid Instructor
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
