Job summary

Moores Clothing for Men, a division of Tailored Brands, seeks a Retail Store Tailor‑Alterations to deliver personalized alteration services and support the tailoring workflow.

You will greet customers, assist in fittings, mark, alter and press garments, answer questions, suggest wardrobe options, and help keep the shop organized and clean.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training or equivalent experience.
• Strong sewing skills with knowledge of alterations.

Position Overview

Retail Store Tailor‑Alterations at Moores Clothing for Men, division of Tailored Brands. Provide personalized alteration services to customers and support the tailoring process.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive input and valuable assistance throughout the entire customer experience.
• Assist in the selling process: greet, interact with, and respond to customers regarding any special requests.
• Mark, alter, and press selected garments, ensuring proper fit.
• Answer customer questions and offer wardrobe ensemble suggestions.
• Maintain an open dialogue with management.
• Help other team members and keep the tailor shop clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated, customer‑friendly.
• Formal training in tailoring preferred; experience as a menswear tailor highly preferred.
• Strong technical skill and sound knowledge of sewing equipment.
• Proficiency in basic and advanced alterations of men’s tailored clothing.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑orientated attitude.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $20.56 – $26.73 per hour. Hourly pay rate commensurate with skills and experience. Base pay based on market location and subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
