Job summary

SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 87 in Stikine invites applications for a part-time Student Assistant at Tahltan School. This 29-hour-per-week position begins immediately or by mutual agreement and is governed by CUP E Local 2052-02.

• Part-time continuing position, 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Display exceptional interpersonal skills when engaging with students, parents and staff.
• Work closely with the school, parents and students while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support student programming and provide one-to-one assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with staff as a school-based team member and attend conferences.
• Assist with student monitoring and supervision during programming areas.
• Participate in planning strategies and interventions for students.
• Contribute to a respectful, trusting learning environment.
