Securitas Canada Limited in Yorkton, SK is seeking a part-time Security Guard to patrol and protect client properties during the listed shifts. The position emphasizes vigilance, reporting, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard Certificate or License (preferred).
• Full Class 5 driver’s license.
• Flexible open working schedule.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Able to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Able to walk, stand and patrol.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports incidents to protect client property, assets and personnel.
• Operates an onsite vehicle to patrol and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and enforces site regulations and directives.
• Controls access to client site through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or by vehicle, checks for hazards and violations.
• Provides excellent customer service while minimizing risk to property.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incidents in emergencies or investigations.

SECURITY GUARD - PART-TIME POSITION

Location: Yorkton, SK

We are seeking a Part-Time security guard for the Yorkton, SK area.

If you don’t currently hold a valid security guard license or certificate, we will pay for your training and guide you through every step of the process of obtaining your full security license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.

• Operates an onsite utility vehicle to conduct extensive patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.

• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.

• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.

• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.

• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.

• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid provincial Security Guard Certificate or License (preferred)

• Full class 5 driver’s license

• Flexible open working schedule

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg.

• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures

• Reliable means of transportation

• Excellent organizational skills

• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports

• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.

• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills

• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset

SCHEDULE

Wed/Thurs/Fri 1600-2030 and Sun 1200-1730
