Job summary

Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Nutrition Coordinator for Bon Accord School to support the Alberta School Nutrition Program. The role involves planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and ensuring safe food handling practices during the school day.

The successful candidate will work closely with staff and volunteers to provide breakfast service, manage food orders and inventory, and track program outcomes while promoting student health and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate is required.
• Must have Safe Food Handling certification.
• Experience in food preparation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
• Equivalent combinations of education, knowledge, and experience may be considered.
• Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals following safety guidelines.
• Coordinate food ordering, inventory, and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and nutritional guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to run breakfast program.
