Job summary

First Student is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers in Edmonton, AB. You’ll start mornings with pickups and end with afternoon routes, delivering children safely to and from school. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.

Expected duties include student supervision, bus inspections, and clear communication with parents and school staff. Enjoy flexible hours, community impact, and potential career growth across locations in Canada and the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Full Class 5 driver’s license for at least 1 year.
• Part-time schedule with summers off.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
• Obey traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
