Job summary

First Student in Chestermere, AB is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers to start students' days with morning pickup and transport them home after school. The role may include additional hours for field trips and events.

No experience is required; we provide expert training to become a safe, professional driver. Our benefits include daily pay, guaranteed minimum hours, EAP, and opportunities to advance across 540 locations in the U.S. & Canada.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Have a full Class 5 driver's license for at least 1 year.
• Part-time schedule with summers off.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
