Our facility in Etobicoke, ON is hiring for a Part-Time Sanitation Worker!

LOCATION: Etobicoke, ON (122 Carrier Drive)

RATE: $17.75/hr

SHIFT: Must be available for Afternoon and Night shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding areas
• Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machines, compressed air, power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, and walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing, and production areas)
• Responsible for lockout, dismantling, cleaning, and sanitizing of production machines as required, in accordance with master sanitation schedule and SOPs
• Adhere to cleaning procedures following GMP standards and health and safety guidelines
• Collect waste and recyclable materials from the production area and dispose of them properly
• Assist in cleaning major spills of liquids or dry product as needed
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures as per the sanitation schedule

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/warehouse sanitation and cleaning
• Previous experience in manufacturing environments, preferably food manufacturing
• Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, self-reliant, eager to learn and grow
• Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Ability to work safely and efficiently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong numeracy skills
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Multi-tasking skills
• Excellent attendance record
