Job description

Our bakery takes pride in providing premium baked goods to our community. There are no preservatives and additives in our baked goods and all unsold products are donated to charity at the end of each day! If you are looking to join our team we'd be happy to review your application.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

What Your Day Looks Like

• Work as part of a small team, providing an exceptional customer experience, and getting to know your regular, loyal customers
• Be responsible for merchandising product and executing marketing campaigns
• Work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and assist with production as needed. (Yep- you’re going to learn how to do some baking!)
• Working in a fast paced work environment ensuring that product is bagged, samples are prepared, product is decorated and customers are served within a given timeframe
• Closing the bakery with a fellow team member and ensuring that all baking needs are prepped and sales / production area of the bakery are cleaned and sanitized
• Working with cash, debit and credit transactions
• Pay is minimum wage

• Customer Service Skills : ability to greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional and helpful manner. Continuing to stay calm and positive during busy and high stressful situations
• Cash handling : ability to work with money, including operating a cash register, processing payments and giving correct change
• Communication : strong verbal communication skills to answer questions, explain products, and handle customer concerns
• Teamwork : works well with others in a collaborative, supportive environment
• Efficiency : able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting, especially during peak hours
• Adaptability : comfortable managing multiple tasks at once and adjusting to changing priorities
• Physical Stamina : able to stand for long periods and perform tasks that require bending, lifting and carrying bakery products (up to 22kg), reaching above and below shoulder level, bending, turning and constant use of both hands.
• Reliability : dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Food Safety Awareness : basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards when handling food and maintaining work areas.
• First Aid / CPR certified

• Additional $10 credit each shift to spend at the store
