Job summary

COBS Bread in Canada is seeking a friendly part-time team member to provide an exceptional customer experience, connect with customers, and help them find bakery products that meet their needs.

You will use proven sales techniques, merchandise products, support marketing campaigns, and work with the team to keep the bakery clean and welcoming.

Starting wage is CAD 18.25 per hour. We offer flexible hours, complimentary products on each shift, and benefits available for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and handling POS transactions are assets.
• Friendly demeanor and customer service focus.
• Able to work well in a team and adapt to a bakery environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work part as a small team, providing an exceptional customer experience, and getting to know your customers and meet their bakery needs.
• Use proven sales techniques to see our fresh high quality product.
• Be responsible for merchandising product and executing marketing campaigns.
• Work alongside team member to keep the bakery clean, and assist with production as needed.

Skills Required:

• You are someone who takes pride in their work, positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
• You are reliable, self-motivated, team player who is approachable and likes working with people.
• Relevant retail experience and experience in handling point of sale transactions is a strong asset.

Physical Requirement:

• Continuous standing/walking for all tasks with constant use of both hands.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 7.5kg, reaching below shoulder level, bending and turning.
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending and reaching above shoulder level.
• Starting wage is $18.25

At this time we are hiring a part-time position. Hours vary and applicant must be willing to cover holidays and sick calls.

Our hours of work are Sunday to Thursday 7:00 am to 6:30pm and Friday/Saturday 7:00am to 8:30pm. Priority to those applicants with open availability.
