Job summary

COBS Bread in Peterborough is hiring a Full-Time Sales Associate to greet customers, answer questions, and recommend products while keeping displays fresh and stocked.

You will operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and support the bakery team with daily tasks. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to grow with the company, plus paid training and staff product perks.

Your Role

• Assist customers by answering questions and providing product recommendations
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately
• Maintain product displays and inventory levels to ensure freshness and availability
• Support the bakery team with general duties, including cleaning and assisting in production as needed
• Contribute to a positive team environment and excellent customer service

Requirements

• Positive attitude and friendly, approachable demeanor
• Reliable and self-motivated with a willingness to learn new skills
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required
• Ability to handle cash, credit card and debit transactions accurately
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 22 kg occasionally, and perform duties involving reaching, bending, and moving
